Researcher

As a researcher, I am interested in how technologies and their designs shape our creative decisions and values. The software and apps that we use are created by humans with their own biases and perspectives, and these constraints in turn shape users’ imagination, expectations and outcomes. By investigating the (often artificial) limits built into software for creative and interpersonal use, I identify opportunities and approaches for flexible and inclusive design.
